Show Hit HILLTOP TIMES MES Aug. 15, 2013 1 1 NEWS BRIEFS Personnel center seeks public input HILL AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force Personnel Center is conducting a feasibility assessment for a NAF construction project to build a new Golf Clubhouse at Hill Air Force Base. The center is looking for public input to improve the quality and level of service, to do so the community is invited to participate in a survey. Hill AFB to host Key Spouse event HILL AIR FORCE BASE — The 75th Air Base Wing will host a Key Spouse information fair and reception at The Landing here Sept. 5. Team Hill's Key Spouses, commanders, directors and first sergeants are invited to learn more about agencies and resources available to military families. Several speakers will share their experience and expertise. A welcome reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. with heavy hor d'ouerves served at 6 p.m. The event is free for all Key Spouses courtesy of the Utah Military Family Foundation. Those that complete the 8-week certification course become part of a citizenbased emergency response team, in which they will will be able assist during a citywide emergency, such as an earthquake or chemical spill. Participants will learn disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical operations, search and rescue, disaster psychology and terrorism. The city of Clearfield is holding the classes, which will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays. There is no charge for the class, but participants must purchase a $40 emergency responder pack with supplies. Classes are limited to 30 students and is open to anyone age 15 and older. Zions Bank's military internship program will provide on-the-job training, work experience in banking and networking opportunities. The paid internship will also provide support from the Zions Bank Military Relations Group, access to senior management and access to hiring officials from other area businesses.
