If you did apply there are a few things you may want to be aware of when considering whether or not you are ready to retire. If you separate with a VERA/VSIP, you will need to turn in your retirement paperwork to the Benefits and Entitlements Service Team (BEST) at Randolph Air Force Base, as soon as possible but no later than Nov. 4. Those in custody had to raise funds for their release which then went toward the fundraising efforts to support military families and Team Hill. he annual Team Hill Spouses Round-Up fundraiser came to a close with a bang, raising a total of $36,000 in total for Hill Airmen and their families. The Round-Up is one of the largest fundraisers for Hill's quality-oflife programs, with funds going to the Utah Military Family Association to support up to 15 programs. Some of these programs include Heart-Link, Key Spouses, Airmen Against Drunk Driving, Hill Heroes and the Wolf Creek Retreats. The event sold about 260 tickets and the event's chairwoman, Jackie Thies, said it was a successful event. "We're very happy with it," she said. The event was put on by a committee of volunteers at ROUND UP Hill's Spouses Club FUNDRAISER and has continued to be a popular event for both the base and the community. The Hill Immunizations Clinic is open to all walk-in TriCare beneficiaries from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday except for Wednesday when it opens at 9 a.m. The unattended child policy is revoked at the vaccination clinic as the goal is to get as many of the family members vaccinated at once as possible. Warrior Call on Friday, Sept. 23 at Club Hill Alan Gibson, OO-ALC/GHAK, will speak Sept. 23 at Club Hill at 4 p.m. on the topic of deploying civilians on a military billet, "One year in the AFCENT AOR." Warrior Call is open to all Team Hill military and civilians. Dress is uniform of the day. Come early, get your beverage and experience the patriotic service of one of Team Hill warriors. Wardleigh Road repaving to start A paving project to mill and complete paving of Wardleigh Road is planned, Sept 26-Oct. 14, starting at Chenault and ending at Alabama. Traffic will be reduced to one lane each way. Accessibility and crosswalks will be maintained as deemed safe around construction equipment. Motorists will not be able to make left turns where posted and deemed unsafe due to lane restrictions; motorists will still be able to make right turns. Recommended alternate travel route is 6th Street to access most buildings and parking lots. Additional information will be published providing further schedules during construction in this area. Your patience and safe travel practices through the affected area is of high importance for your protection and that of Team Hill members and guests.
