Focuses on issues unique to stepfamily relationships. This class is from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.— dinner is provided. Job Fair, Sept. 21 at Club Hill from 9 .m. to 1p.m. Includes employers from the local community as well as civilian personnel. Finance Basic Budgeting Techniques, Sept.15 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Call the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 801-777-4681. Youth Center cranking up for school year with events Laser tag, Sept. 9 — Play the coolest system in laser tag. It's like paintball but without the pain. Join the group at the Youth Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers. Give Parents A Break, Sept. 17 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. — Free child care for active duty families who have a deployed spouse, special needs children, and families in crisis. Requires a referral from the Airman and Family Readiness Center and Air Force Form 1181. Child Development Center takes children ages 6 weeks - 5 years and the Youth Center takes ages kindergarten - 12 years. The GPAB is held the third Saturday of each month with alternating times. If space is available, GPAB will accommodate individuals without a referral. The fee without a referral is $15 with a completed AF Form 1181. Game Night, Sept. 16 — Play a variety of games and tournaments from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers. Preteen Lock In, Sept. 16 — Youth Programs is hosting a Lock In from 9 p.m. on Sept. 16 to 8 a.m. on Sept. 17. Free for members and $10 for nonmembers. Fit Factor, get up, get out, get fit! Earn points and prizes through this computerbased interactive program. Receive up to 100 points a day for doing everyday activities like basketball, foosball, and washing dishes. Sign up at https://www.afgetfit.com/ Home.aspx to receive your first prize. Mixed Martial Arts Mondays and Wednesdays, $40 a month, taught by Master Gloria Olson in Building 520. Guitar on Tuesdays, $68 a month. Learn to play the 6 string guitar as well as music theory. Styles may include classical, rock, blues, jazz, and country/folk. Judo — Grappling sport involving the use of a variety of techniques such as throwing, pinning, choking (ages 13 and older), and arm locks (ages 17 and older) to win. Competition available at all levels. Ages 5-18, $25 a month. Dance classes are designed to give students instruction in various dance styles. Ages 2-18, $25/$30/$35 a month for lessons 1 day a week. Lessons 2 times a week (Tuesday and Thursday) rates are $45/$52.50 a month. The Kwon Do Mondays and Wednesdays, ages 5-18, $46 a month. Focuses on self-defense, self-control, and self-discipline. Torch Club every Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Open to ages 9-12. Club focus is community service and leadership. Join and together make a difference in the club, community, and the world. Torch Club is currently working on a youth literacy program. every Friday from 4 p.m. Keystone Club to 5 p.m. Keystone is a chartered smallgroup leadership and service club for boys and girls ages 13-18. Keystoners elect officers and plan and implement their own activities in three areas: service to club and community, education, and career exploration. Keystone Club is currently working on a youth literacy program. Youth Employment Skills Program (YES) The Youth Employment Skills Program (YES) is an on-base volunteer program for high school students sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society. This program, offers students an opportunity to learn valuable work skills, "bank" dollar credits toward their post-secondary education, and have a positive impact on their base community. YES allows students to "bank" $4 in grant funding for every hour volunteered for an on-base organization. Power Hour — Staff and mentors are available Monday-Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. to assist students with homework and assignments. Incentives are offered for students who earn enough "power hour points." Piano — Wednesdays and Fridays, ages 5-18, $55 a month. Instruction includes sight reading, ear training, composing, computer lab, theory, games, and a reward center. Skate Night, Sept. 23 — Play a variety of games and tournaments from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers. School Age Program — Youth ages 5-12 can attend the Before and After School Program. Participants have the opportunity to experience 7 activity rooms including media, arts and crafts, music, imagination, construction, and gym. Boys and Girls Club of America and 4-H are also incorporated into daily activities. The School Age Program is accredited by the Council on Acceditation. USDA approved meals and snacks are provided.
