BY ANNE MORRISON Hilltop Times staff F ive high school students received scholarships on June 24 from the Hill Air Force Base Wasatch Chapter of the Logistics Officers Association during its annual scholarship luncheon. Maj. Gen. Andrew Busch, Ogden Air Logistics Center, and Brig. Gen. Mark Atkinson, director of Logistics, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va., were in attendance. See TODD CROMAR U.S. Air Force LOA I page 6 F-16 pilots in skies for 4th flyovers ON TARGET 75th ABW Change of Command is today The 75th Air Base Wing change of command will be held June 30, 10 a.m., in Hangar 37. The base will provide a shuttle service to the ceremony. Busses will begin routes at Building 430, on the west side of building 593 (the 419th parking lot) and at the softball parking lot east of the Hess Fitness Center 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will provide transportation to these areas afterward. KARI TILTON AND ANDREA HOUCK 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs and Team Hill Public Affairs C ontinuing a 25-year tradition, Hill F-16 pilots will soar over community parades across the Wasatch Front this Fourth of July weekend. The holiday flyovers will kick off at 8 p.m. July 2, when four F-16s from the 388th Fighter Wing wow crowds at the Stadium of Fire celebration in Provo. The pilots recently returned from deployment to Afghanistan and include Capt. Matt Crabb, Capt. Warrior Call to be held on July 22 Warrior Call on July 22 will be at 4 p.m. at Club Hill. Featured speakers will be Master Sgt. Ken Ahrens and Staff Sgt. Keith Green, both of 75th CEG/CED, and they will speak on the topic of 'Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal and the Joint Fight." All interested civilians and military are invited to attend. `F' Street, Wardleigh work closes Canberra A Wardleigh Road and "F" Street project means trenching continues up the alley between Buildings 39 and 58 closing Canberra Road through July 1. Long gives update to UDA on 388th FW aerformance BY ANNE MORRISON Hilltop Times staff Milling and paving project on Wardleigh A complete paving and milling project for Wardleigh Road from Southgate Avenue to Chenault Road continues through July 29. Wardleigh will be partially closed for extensive milling during this time. Traffic will be reduced to one lane each way. Military teens present original play The 4-H Theater Club on base, the Hilltop Reactors, are performing their original play, "Farewells and New Beginnings." These teens have worked hard the past few months creating a piece that speaks to the experience of the military child. All performances are free and take place at the Base Theater. Parts of this show address serious, real life issues and may not be suitable for young children. Final performance is Thursday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. T he 388th Fighter Wing commander Col. Scott Long talked to members of the Utah Defense Alliance early Wednesday morning at the Weber Basin Conservatory Headquarters. Long discussed the progress of both the 388th and the 419th Fighter Wings' improvements with the Total Force Integra- tion program. TFI harmonizes reserve and active duty forces in Air Force and military wide needs. He also highlighted the wing's most recent deployment to Afghanistan and the Combat Hammer weapon evaluation results. Sue Dryden, 309th MXW director since September 2010, has been selected for reassignment as Deputy Director of Logistics, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, ol. Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. The change of command ceremony will be July 5 at 1 p.m. in Building 237.
