Show HILLTOP TIMES TIMES August 14, 2008 Exercise, TRI... battle ready T he Targeted Readiness Inspection is a limited readiness evaluation conducted in conjunction with the Unit Compliance Inspection. On the weekend of Aug. 9-10, the Inspector General team evaluated selected items required to meet compliance requirements and provide a no-notice check of support for combatant commanders, including efforts to prepare expeditionary airmen for deployment. Some of the areas that were inspected were the deployment of airman and equipment, and the ability to survive and operate in a deployed environment. This inspection concept is a no-notice, carefully limited and graded evaluation of readiness and is not a full Operational Readiness Inspection. Inspectors selected programs for review based on previous unit-specific inspection results, command and Air Force inspection trends, and suggestions from Head Quarters Air Force Materiel Command directorates. Since there was no prior notice, areas to be inspected were revealed after the arrival of the IG team. TOP: Master Sgt.
