The soil sampling was done to learn about levels of polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, that were discovered in the soil during the project to renovate military family housing. At the Info Fair, environmental and medical experts will be on hand to provide the results of the recent sampling and answer any questions that residents may have. Hill Air Force Base will observe the National Prayer Breakfast March 29, 7:30 a.m., at Hanger 37. ' The theme for this year's Prayer Breakfast is "Lord, Guard and Guide," which are the first words in the Air Force Hymn. The guest sped ker w i 11 be Chap. (Brig, Gen.) Cecil Richardson, the Air Force deputy chief of chaplains. He will be using this year's theme to "explore what it means to ask God to watch over Chap. (Brig. us as we faithfully execute the Gen.) Cecil Richardson BY SENIOR AIRMEN NATHAN GREER 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs About 250 personnel from the 419th Fighter Wing recently traveled to Naval Air Station Key West, Fla., to take advantage of the mild weather conditions and a joint training environment. With snow and ice frequently on the runway throughout the winter in Utah, wing pilots often net3£i .to find other training locations in order to maintain currency during winter months/ With a high of 76 degrees and a low of 66 degrees on average in February, traveling to Key West makes it easier for the wing's maintenance and operations The Hill Air Force Base March Madness Basketball game, which kicks off the Ajr Force Assistance Fund campaign is today from 1-3 p.m.' at the fitness center. Senior leadership will compete in the game. Release time has been issued to civilians and military to attend the event. The grand opening of the new child/parent fitness area, located in the Hess Fitness Center, is scheduled for Monday, 9:30 a.m. The room will have an area where parents can watch their children while they workout on the provided fitness equipment. The fitness area will have the same hours as the new Hill Fitness Center. Survey to improve New horizons information flow BY MAJ. ROBERT POPE Secretary of the Air Force, Office of Public Affairs WASHINGTON - The Secretary of the Air Force Office of Communication at the Pentagon has launched a study to find out how Airmen want to get information about the Air Force. A randomly selected group of Airmen and Air Force civilian employees will receive an email invitation from Brig Gen Erv Lessel, Air Force Director of Communication, asking them to complete an online questionnaire to share their views on several information sources, products, and technologies. "This is a very impor__*. tant project for the Air Force, because we're working hard to improve our Air Force information delivery channels and products so Airmen get the information they want and need, when and how they want it," General Lessel said. "If we hear from Airmen that some of the information channels are working well while others are broken, we'll know where to focus our attention. If Airmen tell us they flat-out can't get some of the information they really want or need, we'll look hard at ways to fix that." The effort was part of New Horizons-Nicaragua 2007, a $7.25 million joint U.S. and Nicaraguan military humanitarian and training exercise. The exercise participants will provide a new school and medical clinic, as well as free health and veterinary care, giving aid and strengthening bonds between the two nations.
