Brandon Badure, 75th Logistics Readiness Squadron, graduated from Class 06-6 from the Forrest L. Vosler NCO Academy at Peterson AFB, Colo., Sept. 14. He was one of 22 Team Hill graduates of the NCO Academy. The NCO Academy is one of three phases in the Air Force NCO Professional Military Education Program. This phase provides a comprehensive study of Communications, Profession of Arms and Leadership to help prepare NCOs for increased leadership responsibilities. • Volunteers needed Volunteers are needed to help the 2006 Homeless Veterans Stand Down Nov. 2 from 1-4 p.m. and Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to noon at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Duties on Nov. 2 will be setting up tents, tables and chairs. Duties on Nov. 3 include escorting veterans, being a food server, working in guest services and talking to veterans. The SI and Down provides an opportunity to bring veterans off the street, provide hot meals, clothing, counseling and medical screening. Because parking is limited, people may enter the playground through the back gate located in the housing area, which will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. People can buy wristbands for $6 that will allow them to play on the blow-up rides. If $10 wristbands are purchased, individuals will have unlimit- ed access to the rides and $5 worth of bonus tickets towards food and games. Food will be available for purchase, along with tickets for access to the rides individually. Proceeds from the carnival will be used to buy supplies for the school, such as science and art equipment. Personnel using Parking Lot 1 and the Base Exchange will need to access these areas from the southbound lanes of E Avenue off Wardleigh Road during the construction. And northbound access to the Base Exchange will be through the roadway between Burger King and the Shoppelte (Blclg. 420).
