BY SHAD WEST Nov. 5 Hilltop Times staff The Hill Aerospace Museum will kick off its 13th season of Airplane Talk, Saturday. This seasonal program features airplanes and their stories from people who flew them. Programs are at 1 p.m. each Saturday in the museum's classroom. The program is sponsored by the Hill Aerospace Museum and Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah and is free for the public to attend. Saturday Col. Charles Precourt is a retired astronaut who plans to discuss his experience as an Air Force pilot and his four space shuttle flights. Colonel Precourt was on missions STS-55 Columbia, STS-71 Atlantis, STS-84 Atlantis and STS-91 Discovery. Mr. Larsen flew 95 missions from bases in England and France from 1943-1945. Nov. 12 Alfred Beck will discuss what it was like to be a Navy anti-submarine patrol pilot in an S-2 Tracker aircraft. Mr. Beck flew more tha 400 take-offs and landings from navy carriers. Nov. 19 Doran Lewis will talk about life as a tail gunner on the B-29. Mr. Lewis flew from Saipan with the 499th Bomb Wing, completing 33 combat missions.
