farm program handbook issued in December The revised edition "The A A A Program for Utah" now is complete and will be sent immediately to county Agricultural Conservation association offices for distribution This handbook according to H E Larsen of Corinne member of the Utah State A A A committee gives the details of the 1943 A A A farm and range program Divided into 14 sections it covers various phases of the combined farm and range program payments and provisions incident to earning payments Two types of farm allowance have been set up for 1943: One the production adjustment allowance and the other the production practice allowance These two types of allowance indicate the change In emphasis in the program to meet war needs Under the provisions of the production adjustment allowance a farmer or rancher receives payment for adjusting or shifting acreages from less essential to more essential war crops The other allowance may be earned by carrying out and practices which are expected to increase the production of essential war foods and fiber "A few farmers have a mistaken idea on these allowances" Mr Larsen said "They think that because an allowance has been set up for their farm they will receive that amount This is not always true This is merely an allowance which may be earned and to earn it the farmer must do what is required before he is entitled to the payment" The production adjustment allowance on a wheat allotment farm is the product of 92 cents a bushel on the normal yield of wheat on the farm times the acreage in the wheat allotment This year no deductions will be made from this allowance for overplanting the allotment provided the war crop goals for the farm are within 90 per cent of the acreage allotted to the farm However a deduction from this allowance will r in the ram division Tribune Intermountain Wire black-faced In the Hampshire SPANISH FORK — "We never division the Van Tassell realized before this war
