I could sit by the radio for hours listening to good music It thrills me It makes ine want to cheer or it makes me want to cry Children should be taught to appreciate good music when they are young It is a never failing comfort in later life To be able to enjoy classical music is a balm to tlte soul I can never understand how people can listen to jazzy music continually- and think that good music is only for snobs or highbrows " That is not so The next time you turn the dial tune in on a symphony orchestra It may not sound so good at first but in time as you understand it you Will learn to love it Eureka MARGUERITE PHIZACKLEA Developing Our Souls in our game of growing up the three most necessary allies are: Our home schools and churches At home we learn the rules of good living and at school we receive our education These two alone however are not enough Sometimes we are too busy to be aware of the necessity of the chureh which really is most important Then with the aid of our teachers we gain spiritual guidance Without this factor we could never hope to attain success in its fullest measure Our teachings in church and Sunday school build and broaden our 6ouls and without this we would grow into hard and bitter men and women SHIRLEY ANNE SYRETT 14 Cedar City Watch Out!
