Poor Johnny! He didn't wash his hands Before he snuggled into bed To go to sleepy lands The soap and water ran up fast The bowl and towel of course came last Everything seemed fresh and clean The land was bright and new The children's faces fairly shone From recent scrubbings too And then John's dream came to an end And oh was he surprised! Then why can't we show our appreciation every 'day? We should be gay and cheerful toward mother and not cress and grouchy We shouldn't talk back to her or object to what she says because she only tells us what she thinks is best for us So let's take her word without arguing and do as she asks us to Mother means everything to us We could hardly get along without her And if rhe does everything she can for us and shows us how much she cares for us shouldn't we do all we can for her and show her that her love is appreciated? Let's make our motto: Every day Is Mother's day And every day lei's think up some p!eaant word or pick a little bouqust of flowers or do some special thirg in honor of Mother's day KNIGHT BANNERET RUTH ELOISE WEST 10 Salt Lake COMF ON 4V A tVtHYtHW---WIT- JJr H 01 EP WON ON COU1T RIGHT UP AND THE RROMH LINE ? mm V ' - |
