In oneweek I made friends and I made enemies, I found love and I lost love,‘ I saw the world and found myself. | Going to New York had never been a dreamof mine. § It was always so distant and forei gn. Even when my father presented me with the news that I would be |l touring Manhattan with a group of high school seniors, all from Los Angelos and all aspiring actors, the reahza-‘ tion of the impact this trip would have on me did not hit " with full force. On December 26th, I kissed my parents and sister goodbye and boarded the plane to New York ‘at the'L.A. airport. The flrght was approxrmately frve hours long and I | 8| | did not know a soul on the plane. My mind began to e race with the possibilities the Big Apple might have in e, - store for me, and by the time my beverage service came I around I knew I wasn’t going to want to go home.
