DYER’S WOAD cont. from page 1 the U.S. Forest Service, Weber County, Weber Pathways, and a couple of concerned community members who had approached him about the uncontrolled spread of the weed in the valley. Now each year, volunteers work tirelessly during the morning, moving throughout the Valley on private and public lands to remove this noxious weed, depriving millions of potential dyer’s woad seeds the opportunity of finding other spots in Ogden Valley to germinate and continue the destructive regeneration cycle. This year, Representative Gage Froerer is now Weber County Commissioner Gage Froerer, and, once again, he is showing his investment and commitment to the eradication of dyer’s woad from the Valley. Thank you Commissioner Froerer for your continued support—for rallying around this cause—and for also continuing to serve up some pretty great hamburgers to the The cost is $25 per person, which includes all supplies. Huntsville Easter Celebration Slated for April 20 By Savanna Swift Every spring in Washington, D.C., thousands of children and their families flock to the south lawn of the White House for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. I was privileged to volunteer at this event in 2008 while working as an intern in the White House’s scheduling office. Now I’d like to recreate that event on a very small scale for the children of Huntsville, Eden, and Liberty. Events this year will include an egg hunt, egg races (the Easter egg roll), face painting, a reading corner where civic leaders will read aloud their favorite picture books, and a photo booth with the Easter Bunny. Please join Huntsville in celebrating Easter and springtime April 20 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in Huntsville Park.
