It can be done on water, snow, or on land. With kite sports becoming more popular local resorts and recreation facilities are considering how to appropriately accommodate the growing intere: Those with the desire to take a kite-skiing lesson do not have to own their own equipment. In the last three years kite sports have increased in popularity, especially in the Weber County area. One of the leading snowkiters in the area is Eden local, Les Vierra. Vierra recently finished his certification from the Professional Air Sports Association (PASA) and has opened his own snowkiting school. His business, Utah Kite Addiction is based out of our own Ogden Valley, and is the only PASA Certified Snowkiting School in Utah. “Utah is a premier place for kite-sports. The American Youth Soccer Organization is in need of referees in the Ogden Valley rea. Those interested in becoming a referee can attend a free Soccer Ref Clinic. This clinic certifies participants so they can refere soccer games for the upcoming season. The championship game will be held on April 18 and 19 This annual tournament has been going on for over 50 years. Team participation is open to any current or former Ogden Valley resident, young or older. The tournament always has some ay competitive teams participating, an great opportunity for local basketball.players ‘and their fans and/or family members to enjoy some good, family fun! In years past, there have been some terrific players from the high school and college levels, and, of course, don’t forget those “golden oldies” who are still playing some great ball! Besides basketball, there will be some food and concessions available nightly. It should be a fun event for the entire family. All proceeds from the tournament benefit Ogden Valley Sports Team rosters and fees need to be turned in by March 19, and can be dropped off at the Iverson Dental Clinic.
