He was recently honored by the Weber County Farm Bureau a “Friend of Agriculture for Weber County.” e is survived by his wife, LaVon and their children Vickie Moyes (Jerry) of Arizona, Carol Hadley (Gary) of Taylor, JaNae McCormick (Mike) of Marriott/Slaterville, Elaine Bingham (Blaine) of Hooper, and Buddy Favero (Laura) of Taylor. Also, 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, and 8 brothers and | sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a great grandson. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 14, 2006, at the Taylor 1st Ward, 4300 S. 2200 W. Send condolences to the family at <www.leavittsmortuary.com> Bud Favero Bud Favero On Sunday September 10, 2006, Bud Favero, husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather and friend. passed away. He was surrounded by those love: most his family at " his favorite place, his hor Bud was the third son of John and Hazel Favero. He was born in Weber County on August 15, 1920. He married Lillian LaVon Jensen on October 25, 1941. On November 3, 1950 their vows were solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple and they were sealed together for time and all eternity. Together they had five children, whom he lived his life for. He owned and managed three service stations. He was very active in many county activities that he knew would be family orientated and he could have his own family be involved as well. He worked for Clearfield Job Corps providing instructional direction in Auto Machinist. He served as the Brand Inspector for the State of Utah in the County Areas until retirement at the age of 80. He was a member of the Weber County Sheriff Posse for 52 years and served as captain for 6 of those years. He served on the Weber County Fair Board for 14 years and put together the Cattle Drive that took place for the Bi-Centennial. Dean married Barbara J. Telleson on the 8th day of April, 1947. They were the parents of five children, Casey (Shari), Farmington; Dan (Nancy), Huntsville; Nate (DeAnne), Pleasant View; Carol (Mark) Wielkiewicz, Ogden; and Sid Wallwork of Pleasant View. He has 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren ean was a member of‘the LDS church. Though recently semi active, he accepted and honored his membership and recognized and appreciated the profound influence the church had on his life. He worked in this orientation for the Air Force at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1978 to continue his work at fine art in his own studio. In addition to his devotion to the field of art, he had many other interests. His many accomplishments, too numerous to mention, were well known by those around him He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He served three and a half years with the Army Air Corp as a pilot in the 20th Air Force B29 campaign against Japan. After the war, Dean continued his love for flying with two of his sons who shared ownership of their own aircraft. He was also active in the building industry, especially designing and planning. As a licensed building contractor, he worked exclusively for his own family in projects of the family enterprise, providing his children the opportunity to acquire and demonstrate a large variety of skills and knowledge used throughout their lives. is devotion to animals was one of the primary interests in his life with special love for dogs. Most recent is his wellloved and devoted friend Willie, who he leaves as one of his survivors and beneficiaries.
