On bruary 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Red Moose Lodge, the Great Salt Lake RC&D will host this year’s information and signup meeting. ast year, thirty-three households purchased shares in East Farms’ crops and received an amazing and plentiful variety of fresh-picked produce from mid-June until mid-October, delivered right here to a drop point in Ogden Valley. The farmer then has income before the season starts and can avoid many of the loans most farmers burden themselves with. The residents share in the risk and in the bounty. If this year is anything like last year, the only risk is overabundance Eat healthy, eat fresh, know where your food comes from, visit a farm, save fuel, help a farmer, and help yourself!
