The retreat theme was chosen ahead of time to he, 'On The Road To Success. The officer team was vety excited to go and make plans foi the next year in When the officers arrived they got settled in and went right to work. While at Rear I.akc. the officers presented and participated in workshops and activities prepared by their lcllou officers They planned the committees needed throughout the year, set goals, and chose a theme to follow. The officers did get a break or two in their work. They were able to travel to Minctonka Cave and the Oregon California Trail Center. At Minctonka Cave the officers were thrilled to learn the caves history and how the formations were made. They enjoyed seeing the magnificent cave, that has been nearly untouched hy humans. They next traveled to the QregonCalifomia Trail Center. Once there, they were told to go back in time to 1852. They were going to go on the trail to Oregon They met some nice folks along the trail. They also got to ride in a covered wagon, and get sunk to the axle in sand. They met some folks that were having troubles on the trail, and realized how hard it had to be. They really enjoyed this, it let them relax and enjoy what was going on. After their field trips, it was back to work for the officers. They finished up the things that needed to be done, and then got ready to go home. Overall, it was a great retreat, we all enjoyed it. We would like to thank Miss Thalman and Georgia Clegg for putting up with us the whole time. Thank you!
