They go to forget things and when they open their hags they find out they did. I was lucky, didnt forget a thing that I couldn't do without, enjoyed my vacation and I am very happy to be home. President Shirley Phelps conducted all the meetings and took care of all the details with the good help of all you great volunteers. Louise Judd was in charge of February activities and she arranged special entertainment on Feb. 16 for All President's Day. Her daughter. Kathy Chappell, played the piano and accompanied her father, Donald Judd on the guitar. harmonica and singing patriotic numbers. Grant Geary helped out with the singing and had the audience sing along with the chorus of God Bless America. We thank Louise and her talented family for sharing those talents with us. Pat Treen gave us a report on our trip to Legislature on Feb. 22. Transportation and all expenses was s: s: taken care of by Mountainlands. Tim Sorensen. Devin Sims and Jodi Maas made sure we got where we were supposed to go and Julie Pace, our Senior Coordinator helped out too. We had a nice bus. a delicious breakfasthrunch and then met w ith some of the senators and representatives. David Ure, our representative was one of them and we got to talk to Mel Brown too. It was interesting but very tiring. Glad we dont do it every week. We held a hoard meeting on the 23rd with 100 percent attendance. However, we didn't have any earth shaking problems so the meeting was exactly what Grant Geary likes, a short one. We welcome George Perkins hack from his southern vacation and glad he enjoyed himself. Just in time too because we needed his helpers. Kathy Wilde and Cindy McGeehce to add their assistance to Trina Mitchell who did a marvelous job of filling in for LaRita who is off gadding again. I think she is about ready to settle down and stay put for a while. Joe and Bcv Dalton have been coming on Wednesdays. We thank Joe for not only helping with our taxes but actually he has done them Im happy to say mine are finished and in the mail and it isn't even deadline time yet. If you still want his help, tel us know ASAP. We send our sympathies hi the families til Vcilie Taylor. Pauline Hills and date Waihurlon. Gordon has had over 63 good years with Yerlie so tlic house is going to he lonesome for him hut I think the good Lord knows which one to call home first. We would like lo give Pauline's mother. Thelma Crandall a big hug but unforlunjlely can only send our love. Pauline and Yerlies funerals were this past week and Clare's will be a private one held this week. Olin Miller says that if we must talk about our troubles, we should not bore our friends with them... tell them to your enemies, they will he delighted. However, we need to tell you of troubles our friends are having. Ly le Willoughby spent a day in the hospital, not a heart attack but with infection in the lungs. Jane Wright was in the hospital after she had a fall, didn't break any thing hut still has some dizziness. Gen Geary is to have knee replacement surgery on Feb. 28. Preston Judd was to have a pacemaker and just days before, his wife, Lucille fell and broke her hip so they were in the same hospital hut on different floors. Frank Moore is doing better and has even gained weight. Marie McMichaels mother. Helen Welch has entered a care center. Wanda Spriggs is hauling an asthma problem and there are others hurting Calendar of Events WIC is a supplemental food program for women, infants and children up to five years.
