H.O.B.Y stands for Hugh Youth Leadership O'Brien Conference. One Sophomore from each school in Utah can attend. Julie Hewson was the one Sophomore from our school. By going to this leadership conference Julie learned good leadership skills. She also had the chance to learn more about the United States and what she could do to help out in the community. They conducted a contest to see which class could raise the most money. Mrs. LeAnn Rowscr's third grade class raised more money than the other classes and received a nxit beer float party fur their efforts. In her senior year as a Lady Brave she kad her team in batting for the second year with a .5 10 average, she was nominated to first team all region, first team all state and the 2A All star team which played the 3A all stars last Friday, May 19, in Salt Lake City. Blaire has lettered all four years in softball and was team cocaptain this year along with senior Julie Momll. Short stop will be a big hole the Lady Braves will need to rill nest year, Blaire has been a solid player in that position for quite a while. The biggest moments for the team this year had to be the win over South Summit and then the last game of the season, a win over Grantsvillc. The other seniors on the team will be missed also, the positions they played were critical one&.and will he hard to fill. Blaire will be continuing on with her education at Weber State as well as possibly playing softball, the coach from Weber State was in attendance at the All Star game and was please with her performance, we wish her all the luck in the world, and say so lung to a very good athlete. Blaire is the daughter of Mike and Robin Judd, of Coalville. Scholarship Awarded Lindsay (Richins) Hull, daughter of Bob and Pat Richins. of Hencfcr, has been selected to receive a George B. and Marie Eccles Caine Art Scholarship. This is a full tuition scholarship that will help Lindsay to complete her last year of schooling at Utah Slate University. Lindsay and her husband. Bradley, both attend school in Ijogan. They also have their own screen printing and sign making business.
