It is evident that being in front of the camera and showing everyone- - their talents makes for a positive and eventful experience for these young people. You will want to mark your calendar for Friday. May 19, and plan to bring your family for lots of energy Tilled entertainment, beautiful art displays and an inexpensive meal or dessert. S.S. Sterling Scholar Runner-U- p in Business and Marketing she spent over 40 hours providing service to enhance the love of literacy in children. She tutored an elementary child for three hours each week. She also shared stories, songs Und activities at the community Story Time. Another experience she particularly enjoyed was adapting Richard Adams' Watcrship Down to a children's picturctxxA and sharing it with elementary students. At Christmas time Valerie started a small cookie business and donated the proceeds to a needy family. Valerie has heen chosen to receive a four year tuition Heritage scholarship at BYU. This scholarship honors the intellectual cultural and spiritual heritage of the LDS Church. Because of exceptional academic achievements she has also received the University Club scholarship from Utah Slate University. Valerie has excelled academically. She received a score of 34 on her ACT Test. Her grade point is 3.99. At the math competition at Snow College she was able to place third this year and took fourth place as a sophomore. She is the second student in the history of North Summit to achieve a perfect score on one of the nationally issued math tests.
