President conducted Grace Condcr the business meeting: Betty Cones read the minutes, Leah Towers read the treasurer's report, and informed us ihat Ron Bray is helping us keep the van up to new standards. Volunteers for the upcoming prepared luncheons arc Margaret Fennell and Betty Cones in February,. Dorothy Allinson and Mary Lou Gourlcy in March, and Leah Towers and Edna Jasper in April. The Senior Citizen of the Year dinner in May be catered. Grace is lining up a bus trip to Wcndovcr- - details later. They traveled to Meridian on the 24th but came up short losing 39 to 83. They traveled to Dugway on Wednesday but scores were unavailable at press lime. Next week they' will play Wasatch Academy at home on the February 3d1 with JV beginning at 4: 13 p.m. and Varsity play ing at 6 p.m. The girls basketball team played Wasatch Academy at home last week with the varsity winning 46 to 33. They traveled to East Carbon on Thursday but lost 60 to 51. They- played Thursday at home against Meridian but scores were unavailable at press time. Next week they play Dugway at home on February 4th and - Wcndovcr 6. at home on The JV games February' begin at 4: 15 and the Varsity at 6 p.m. Federal CEO, on Saturday at the grand opening, High mmnmm mgn new offici<y epen hem Mountain High rcdcral Credit Union held its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, January 25. There was a incredible turn out which w as welcomed by CEO Dunnis Dunn along with branch manager, Jade Taylor. Employees Helen Wall, Traci Snell, and Grace Condcr were also on hand to welcome everyone out. Dennis welcomed not only Eurcka residents and new members but also guests from all over the state. County Commissioner, Neil Cook was on hand along with several Mountain High Credit Union Board Members and even Eureka s own celebrity and KSL Radio personality, Doug Wright. Guests were treated to a nice lunch along with given a free movie ticket. There was also a drawing held for several prizes including a night at the Anniversary Inn won by Bill and Joan Morris and a flag pole won by Fcrrcl Thomas. There were also several w inners of $ 1 0 gi A certificates for local businesses. Dennis explained to those attending that not only will they operate in the historic building but they will be restoring it to it's original design including bars around the tellers windows. Krishann Fisher has been chosen for the Principals Award this week for being an outstanding student. She docs quality work in every subject. She hands in her assignments on time and they arc neatly done. She takes her time to make sure her work read. is dear and easy to Congratulations Krishann on always doing your best. Her teacher is Ms. Kirgin. Her parents are Chris and Tcsha Fisher. COPY1 Eureka. PT0 students of the month The band will sponsor the Annual Valentines Dance on Saturday, February 15. They will play' at part of the dance. It begins at 7:30 p.m. and ends at midnight. Thursday, February 6 is an early out day. Last term there were 79 students out of 121 that did not receive a referral. A field trip to award them is in the works. There were also 104 students that received straight citizenship grades.
