Public notice SOCIAL SERVICES BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS (SSBG) DUE The Six County Association of Governments is accepting Mayor proclaims youth week Mayor proclaimed the week of May He urges Youth Week. 5th I Sun Mon fraternal, patriotic groups, and our citizens, to participate in this event. As part of youth week, Tintic Lodge 711 is considering a new program within the lodge. This program could be vital importance to you, your children, your grandchildren, and their friends. It is the Junior Elks program. It will be open to all children between the ages of 8 to 20. This new program is not intended to make babysitters out of the lodge, but it is meant to get written applications and budgets for FY-20SSBG funds, to be submitted by May 3, 2002 to the Community Assistance Office, P.O. Box 820, Richfield, Utah 84701. Funding can be used by Service Providers for social service to clients on a reimbursement for service basis. In order for a child to become a charter member of this program, they must be sponsored by an Elk in good standing. There after they must sponsored by an Elk in good standing and a Jr. Elk. This program will allow children to learn more about who Elks arc, their history, and what they stand for. They will decide their own fund raising activities, and which programs and charities they- would like to help with the approval of their Elk sponsors. Once a child becomes a Jr. Elk member, they will be issued a name badge with their name on it denoting them as a member of Tintic BPOE 711 Jr. Elks the youth of our community, now is the time. Wc will be holding an Open House Forum Meeting on May 6,h at 6 p.m. Hamburgers and chips will be served at 7 p.m. All children 8 to 20 arc invited to attend. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE! Also as part of youth week, the Tintic BPOE 711 will hold the 1" annual youth parade. This is going to be a fun event and all children and invited to participate. The parade will begin at 10 am at Tintic HS going down Lcad illc to Church Street. Wc will then meet at the park for hot dogs, chips, and homemade root beer. Wc invite all citizens to participate. Wc will also be having a city park cleanup on May l,h to get ready for the summer events.
