Copperfield Buys The Mountain Times Copperfield Publishing, which publishes The Private Eye Weekly in Salt Lake City, has purchased The Mountain Times, a monthly outdoor publication, which has been published in Park City. Former Mountain Times publisher, Leslie Miller, said combining The Mountain Times and The Private Eye Weekly within Copperfield Publishing made sense. “There are economies of scale that work very well, here. This will ensure that The Mountain Times remains an important and popular voice on pressing environmental and recreational issues and that it continues to grow.” The Mountain Times distributes 30,000 copies of its monthly editions in Salt Lake, Park City, Heber and Moab. The magazine focuses on outdoor recreation, growth and conservation issues and the environment. While operations will move to the Salt Lake City offices of The Private Eye Weekly, Miller will remain associated with The Mountain Times in marketing and advisory capacities.
