North Summit invited Park City, Tooele. Ogden, Ml. View, Kcmmerer, (irantsville. Woods Cross, Wasatch, Timpvicw, Hunter and Jordan and placed first place over all. David Bccnficld was rccognicd as the Outstanding Wrestler fur the tournament. More recently, Jan. 2, the wrestling team went to Ogden for a The Braves triple competition against Ben Lomond and Rich. The team didn't lose any matches. The wrestlers traveled to Vernal to compete in the Wrestling of Champions tournament last weekend. Derek Siddoway lixik seventh, and Joe Ovard to eighth place. The rest of the team did very well. The team is working hard and it is paying otT for them. The team will compete this weekend in the 2A Duals in southern Utah and next week in the North Sanpete Winter Classic. Triumph Over Lyman Eagles STUDENT AVKITEK: HEIDI IIEAYSON Saturday. Jan. II, the North Summit Braves hosted the Lyman Eagles and defeated them 69-5Rocky Pace lead Ihc Braves with 29 points followed by Adam Paskett 8. with 19. As always, the game was exciting. The score was kept close throughout the first quarter. At the half, the Braves were up by 10. In the third quarter, the Braves pulled ahead of the Eagles. By the fourth, the Eagles had caught up, but with five minutes remaining in (he game, the Braves lead to win regained their the game. This victory helps the Braves keep their second place ranking in Region 14. Although the JV also played with enthusiasm and determination, they were not quite as fortunate against the Eagles.
