When officers arrived the person was no where to be seen. An Echo resident reported having someone get into his truck and steal checks, a CD case and CDs. A stop was put on the checks. Dispatch received a call giving information on a "suspicious" person in the area of a child carepark. A check of local businesses and a site search showed no additional information. Theft of a purse was reported after being taken from a car located at a residence in Park City. Value of the purse and items inside were placed at around S350. Officers frqm both Summit and Uintah Counties ended up responding to the scene of a one vehicle accident which occurred up Chalk Creek, just over the Wyoming line. The two young women were not wearing seat belts when the car hit some gravel and a tire blew out, causing one to hit the windshield. Injuries to the two included neck problem, back injury, knee injury and abrasions. They were treated at the Evanston Regional Hospital. A resident called dispatch after he left a brief case oq the floor at the Post Office and returned to the scene ' after about 20 minutes to find it missing. Inside was a cel! phone to which he had service discontinued, and various other items including a Bible. A customer at a service station phoned in to say she noticed three person's smoking in a vehicle and they were leaving to enter An officer responded and activated his emergency lights. Noticing activity inside the vehicle he contacted dispatch for assistance. .The end result came with the three young men being arrested and transported to jail. Items found inside the vehicle included pipes, marijuana, and pounded. A resident issued a complaint call, when three individuals entered his property, walked up his irrigation ditch pulling out rocks which diverted water from his pond, killing several fish. A man picked. up in a North Summit area hotel room for theft charges later had criminal mischief charges added after it was determined he damaged the hotel room he had been staying in. A check found he was AWOL from a Wyoming State Hospital. The owner's of two vehicles in the North Summit area woke to find someone had Keyed" their vehicles during the night. Estimated damage to both were listed as over SI,(XX). Photos and a report was taken. After parking his vehicle at his girlfriends home, the couple left the premises. The car alarm went off and the girls father attempted (after four hours and neighbor complaints) to enter the vehicle to shut it off. While doing so the back window was shattered. The alarm was finally shut off after unhooking the battery. - Four male Hispanics tried to steal leather jackets from an outlet store by three distracting the employees as the fourth stuffed the jackets into a bag. As they were leaving, a customer alerted the employees and the suspects ran from the store. TV same foursome ended up stealing three watches from another outlet store later. Jones KayCee J. Jones, former Summit County resident, and currently residing in Santaquin, will be performing Saturday, Aug. 14, at 12 noon at the Summit County Fair.
