Show Page2A. Ml -- Me About I i i r t day ibout my opinion of the decision' to launch cruise missiles against Afghanistan and Sudan in retaliation for the recent bombing of one pf our embassies. Pm really quite ambivalent about it , Certainly terrorism cannot be allowed to flourish unrestricted! Yet, Ive carefully studied comsome of our couments made-bforemost ntrys legal authorities about their concerns regarding this issue, and have grudgingly come to the conclusion that the U. S. might be more than a little bit illegal in their actions. Its sort of like if the neighbors dog gets into your chicken coop and nisei heck, so you go out and toss bits of poison hamburger around his shrubbery. The dog turns but so does die other np deep-sixe-d, neighbors dogs...and cats..ind pet feccoon to say nothing of the exposure to die neighborhood kids, and various other pets. So he (suspicious guy that he is) retaliates, and and so on, and on. Rutty soon everybody in the neighbor-- ; hood is at odds, and then their relatives enter in, and finally the whole town. What started out as a - maybe (because the evidence seemed to show that this was thus and so) minor episode, yet serious to those involved - has now engulfed the whole area. I know, this analogy does not deal with the fact that a, human lives were lost in the embassy bombing, and that those humans were not only Americans, but those of other nations as well it And it does not serve to say, pass. FOrget it." I dont think we can do either. But and this is a big word -- 1 have to admit there seems to be ,nm rufigimy to the , yet possibly applicable, suspicion that the missile strikes were a litde presumptive, maybe even coincidental with the timing so closely on the beds of one of the (many) most 1 1 . A month previous to that, die Resident wagged his finger at die TV camera (and us) and said, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Min Lewinsky." Six months later he was on TV spying, in effect, I did have, etc. .. He did the same dung (com- embarrassing situations of the Resident's lifetime. While it is difficult to imagine this b true, it nevertheless has been postulated by many of the leading thinkers in this nation. Hussein, ft is certainly highly possible that he at least helped orchestrate the idea of this embassy attack due to his influence and complicity with the placement and operation of some of the facilities making the explosives and biological weapons that the U.S. missiles destroyed. What better time could these terrorists have picked than tbey did. in order to cast Anther doubt upon the stability and credibility of our .current, parable about the time-fram- e) Gennifer Flowers affair, and gave contradictory statements of other of his numerous fairy take. No wonder other natices are rapidly catching on to his totally predictable modus operand!, and now calling his Muff The time may be fast approachin ing fact, it's probably already here - to divest ourselves of a President who has become a millstone to the citizenry and a threat to the aecurity of this nation. I would hate to think that this is the best we have to offer as a leader of a country dut is supposed to be the leader of the world. Surely, a truthful, trustworthy leader can be found among the many patriotic, righteous President, by accurately predicting he would do what he did in retaliation? It amounts, fat my opin- d ion, to Saddam Calling our a dud when this nation failed to impose the severest consequences" this time as Saddam, again, ran the UJf. weapons inspeo-do- b men currently serving in our team otn ok irec in nu ooKcnni nation to rebuild his Weapons of Nations CapitoL Its bad enough to lie, worse to get caught at it, and mass destruction. hole-car- Program Leader Thanked for Assistance . of deception. We have had that person as our North Summit Story lime Cathy Louder. Cathy started the summer story time program nine years ago, at the Summit-Ric- h Bookmobile Library. The numbers were small in the beginning, but they have grown through the yean to almost 430 children attending. There are now additional sites being: Henefor, Hoyts ville, Wanship, Coalville and Uptoa ln Coalville, a story time was organized for the age children. .The County Commissioners have helped the program financially as much aa possible and have supported the program otherwise, but Cathy has spent many hours seeking donations from businesses, private donations, and other sources such as grants, to H help finance this worthy cause. All this has been done a Volunteer.
