May 22, 1998 .p Scores Big Stndent Writer: Kristal Richins The North Summit Rodeo Club traveled to Morgan and Wasatch High School Rodeos May 15 and 16. lyier Road: won first at Whsateh in Saddkbronc and did very wen at Morgan. Kristal Richins did Quern: Contest, Barrels, and. Poles at Wuatch. She had some bad luck in Barrels and had a speedy run in her Poles. Kristi Blonquist ran Poles and Barrels at both Wuatch and Morgan. She had speedy tuna in both and added more points to her state finals score. This week the rodeo win be hosted by the North Summit Rodeo ub. Attends State Track Meet Student Writer: Wade Sargent The North Summit BoysT and Girls' Track Team attended the UHSAA State Track Meet at BYU on May 15 and 16. Both the boys and girls teams had a lot of members that participated in die meet In the 100 and 200 meter dash TJ. Bates took fourth place, in the high jump he took fifth, and in the long jump he earned a second place. Justin Hemingway participated far 210 meter hurdles where he received a seventh place, and in the pole vault be took eight place. Shane Hilton participated in three events: 1600 meter run where he took second, 800 meter run where he placed sixth, and in the 3200 meter ran Shane earned a first peace medal with a time of 9:55.97, Jed Gasper ran in the 1600 meter run and placed tenth. Eli Pace tan the 300 meter hurdles and took fifth place. Vernon Mortenson ran in the 3200 meter run, and he earned an eleventh place. Yance Fawcett and Clint Peterson both ran the 400 meter dash. Yance took third place and Clint took ninth. Jace Vnnon participated in the high jump when he earned a third place. Wyatt Sargent threw the javelin and earned a ninth place.
