District 28-is comprised of some S3 Lions Gub located in the Northern part of Utah. The event will be held Friday, OcL 31 and Saturday. Nov. Land is open to those interested in learning more about Lions who dedicate' themselves to serving others within- - our community and newly-establish- U - Alberta throughout the world. District 28-- U Governor Carolyn Birch has invited Jack Hainan of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, an international director of Lions Gubs International, to be the featured speaker at the 7 p.m. Saturday banquet. Lion Isaman, a Lion since 1980, has held many offices with the association, including club president, district governor and council chairman. In addition. Lion Isaman is the director of both the Lions of Photo of The Week ir'V . Foundation and the Dependents Multiple District 37 Lions Eye Bank. He has received numerous awards, including three International A Field Service Officer from the of Veterans Certificates President's Appreciation and an International President's Award. He and his wife. Denise, who is also a Lion are Progressive Melvin Jones Fellows. This year's convention, with a theme celebrating a "Proud Past...Bright Future" is expect to draw more than 123 Lions. The Oct 31 Halloween night mixer and dinner will feature an optional coi-tuparty with lip sync music contests, starting at 6 p.m.. Following'-- ' general sessions Saturday morning, the Coalville Lions Gub will conduct a "model Lions lunch", an instructional luncheon complete with Thomas Cantrell as inspirational speaker from Salt Lake City. Lions look forward to touring the 2002 Winter Olympic site Winter Sports Park on Saturday afternoon, as well as enjoying such events as the Historic Silver Mine Adventure and local area attractions.
