IS. The boys team didn't do too bad against a stronger group of swimmers. D.J. Glade barely missed a first place win in the SO free by only .02 seconds. Chris Lindorff and Chris Miller came up with first and second place in Diving, which helped out the team quite a bit in points. Ryan Staples also came up with a second place in the 100 yard breast- Scates, Bryan Haakenson and D.J. Glade all contributed to second place in both the 200 free and the 400 free relays. The overall score against Park City was 871 OS. Pleasant Grove put up a good fight, but were no match for the Wildcat men. 87-2- 0 was the score between South Summit and Pleasant Grove. Girls' Basketball started it off d scrimmage. Coaches Shawna Woolstenhulme and Sandi Lott's Ladycats look ready to repeat their quest for a State Championship. Boys' Basketball introduced many new players, along with new coaches Craig Rydalch, Todd Street, and Dusty Hatch. This early look at the team show the potential to return to tournament play. Coaches Wade Woolstenhulme, Layne and Gary Thorton, and Clark Bayles introduced a huge wrestling team, with nine wrestlers returning from last year's State championship team. Tonya Woithen came up with the first place win in Diving and Stacy Swimmer Places at U.S. Diving Meet Johnson with second. Amanda Walker came in second in the 100 free and the 400 free relay team also came in with a second place. The girls on that team were Amanda Walker, Eden Davis, Maleia Littledike and Alisha Dewey. Coach Andrea McNeil and the Cheerleaders spend many hours rallying the Wildcat fans in support of the teams at South Summit. The Drill Team performed several different types of dances throughout the night, showing their versatility and giving a glimpse of what can be expected at their competitions. Guided by coaches Billie Jo and Billie Sue McNeil, they anticipate returning to State competition with even more superior performances. The Drill Team thanks all the athletes, coaches, parents, friends, and Wildcat Boosters for joining together to make this first annual Winter Sports Bash an exceptionally enjoyable evening! SO backstroke, sixth and fourth; 100 breaststroke, second; SO Tonya Worthen, daughter of Vicki Worthen, of Samak, who was third at last year's' 3A State, recently had an opportunity to dive at a U.S. Diving Meet held at UNLV in Las Vegas, where she placed Nevada, and New Mexico. Junior Swim Team USS Members Jennifer Bump, Lindsey Embry, and Heather Rice attended two USS Meets on Nov. 10 and 11. They did exceptionally well and are on their way to the top. Jennifer has recently joined USS and these were her first two meets. She did great! All three girls placed well and improved their times. Below is a list of events they swam and the results: Tonya Worthen butterfly, sixth; SO freestyle, fifth and fourth; 200 individual medley, second; 200 freestyle, second; 100 individual medley, fourth, and SO breaststroke, fourth. Also at the meet on Nov. 10 were Trevor Rezac, 13, and Greg Spader, 13. Trevor is also another new member to the ranks of USS swimmers. Both boys did great and improved their times. Below is a list of events they swam and results: Trevor: 200 freestyle, sixth; 100 breaststroke, sixth, and 100 freestyle, fifth.
