The Morgan Trojans started off by making the first touchdown, but missed the extra points. Many fun activities and field i trips have been planned for the 1988-8- 9 school year. There will ' also be an FBLA dance after the North Summit football game ; against South Summit. Mr. Dearden received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Weber State College. He then attended Utah State University, where he received his Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision. His first teaching job was in Morgan High School. After 16 years of teaching in Morgan, he then came to Coalville and started to teach at the North Summit High School and Middle School. Mr. Dearden has wanted to become the principal because he likes "Receipts must be signed and dated. This year, he would like to see the California Achievement Test scores raise and make sure each ntnnt feels successfuL We would like to wish Mr. Dearden a great year as the North Summit Middle School principal School Starts by Kristy Casper' "Boy, am I excited to be here!" was the statement made by both our studentbody President, Rory Swenson, and Vice President, Greg Arnold. Actually, everybody was pretty excited for the first day of school the auditorium was buzzing with excitement as the curtain rose, and the 'Welcome Assembly" began. A slide presentation of what the students did this summer was shown. The students laughed and cheered when pictures of their friends or of themselves were t shown. Three new students to North Summit were intmringed (q the studentbody, then afterwards, the Freshmen class was introduced to the high school. They were all lined up, single file along the stage, and were asked what they had done tv over the long summer vacation. The majority of the answers were "Nothing," but there were ome !'
