He has recently taken up skiing. Matt and his dad are looking for two horses to buy. Clayton and Debbie love working with the youth. Clayton served as Scoutmaster and Wcbclos leader for five years as well as in the YMMIA presidency. Debbie served in the YWMIA doing those things with young girls that help keep their leaders young. The family is looking forward wi (till Smmnint was a special day, beginning with our Sit and Stay Fit exercises. The Rhythm Rascals arrived at 10:30. They started to entertain us at 10:45. It was wonderful. They had a new guitar player, Mr. Weeks. He sang several songs for us. What a beautiful voice. Ila Cornell yodeled for us. We enjoyed her immensely. They are a wonderful group with loads of talent and a great capacity of love. Elmer greeted everyone and welcomed our newcomers, Grace Frazier and . Lawrence and Thelma Stevens. We were so happy to have them with us. Come again. For dinner we were served roast beef, potatoes, gravy, corn, jello salad, pickles, delicious hot rolls, jam and luscious blueberry pie and ice cream. Thelda Page gave a reading. What a memory she has. It was great, Thelda, we love you! After dinner. Fay Taylor, Hilda Thackers daughter, sang several songs with the band. She has a beautiful voice. The band played for another hour. What a lovely day and what good music. It made one feel glad to be alive to enjoy the good things in life. There were 54 seniors to enjoy their day. April 30, 1987. Another lovely day to meet .as seniors. We enjoyed doing our exercises, to get our blood going and our stiff joints moving. Elmer greeted the seniors and wished them well. For dinner we enjoyed beef pot pie, green beans, tossed green salad, cheese plate with zucchini cake and applesauce for dessert. It was Elda Bates who ate on the red plate today. We sang Happy Birthday to her and wished her many, many more. She is just a kid, 39 and holding. We signed get well cards for two of our dear seniors who are in the hospital Ross Lefler and Tom Smith. We send our love and wishes for a quick recovery. Our group was small.
