Show T T55X- - T prr f T T' The Summit County Bee Coalville, UT 84017 Friday, October 11, 1985 5 A Lazy Eye Clinic Held Senior Citizens BBIiL 30. Were Monday, Sept kissing September goodbye and die restless range cattle are moving down from die higher elevations, a sure sign of what lies ahead. Roundups are in full swing. I recall how 1 begged my dad to take me along on just one. He gendy reminded me that I could not keep up with the hard riding and would only hinder the work, s How right he was. I remember how tired and weary both die men and their mounts were at the end of the day. The friendly little humming birds we have delighted in all summer have suddenly left and their almost empty feeders hang unused. It is the time of the year when we. especially enjoy the warm, comfortable atmosphere of our Senior Citizen Center. The hearty soup filled with beef and vegetables along with a jeHo salad foil of pineapple and shredded cheese plus raisin pie topped, with ice cream tasted extra good. V ' Donna and Sam Burgess brought Sterling Rich as their guest We missed Mae Olsen who was absent due to illness. Mollie Oliver was excited and happy with the arrival of her 12th great grandchild, the parents are Jay and Maxine Embry. Walt and Arlene Daniel treated all with a large box of sweet purple plums. . Thursday, Oct. 3rd. The group congregated today was rather small but the same energetic activities were carried on as usual. The music tape played and furnished by Sam Burgess . added to our pleasure. The fried chicken dinner with other goodies was delicious and the plum jam Gussie made from the plums left over from Monday added a special touch. Dirk Grotepas brought his sister and brother-in-law- , the Walt Smiths, as his guests. Daniel and Sam Burgess entertained us again with their special tairn1 on the piano and harmonica. Music we never tire of. Election time is drawing near and we must evaluate and select the candidates of our choice.
