South Summit High School has two very talented choral groups, C- W - jl KaReen Atkinson Tapestry and Sound Chaser. , They have been wotting very hard to prepare for their main performance. Of course, they have also been performing for several other programs churches and other such organ izations. They have had a trip approved to Fullerton, California, to attend a music festival. The groups will be leaving on Thursday, April 11, and will be returning on Monday, April IS. Tapestry and Sound Chaser have each prepared 30 minute programs to present. The groups are both swing choirs which means choreography as well as music must be prepared. Mrs. Silvester has put an extreme amount of time and effort into this to assure quality performances. Now it is up to the students to pull it off. All concerned are anticipating a great time mixed with a lot of hard work in California. The Spring Break Spring break has come and gone and the students are trying to get back into the swing of things. They were so happy to be getting a break from the torture Sterling Scholar the teachers give ' the poor students. On Thursday, April 3rd, the streets filled with excited students from South Summit. Most of the students went to various locations such as te Prom Successful St.- George and California. But the most important half of the school stayed in their home town, Kamas. The only disappointment they felt was that there were only three days of this1 fabulous freedom before they would have to go back to the old grind. But dont worry there are only 40 more days left of this school year. . music festival will be held at Fullerton. We wish to thank Mrs. Silvester and Mrs. Page for all of their time and devotion. Good luck to Tapestry and Sound Chaser. P.S. Be sure to look for an updated report when they return. Julie Farkas Cal-Sta- The Junior Prom was a big success. After a week of decorating, the juior class transformed the gymnasium into a pink and white wonderland of plastic and lights. The theme for the prom was "I Cant Fight This Feeling," by REO Speedwagon. The Juniors topped of the big night by performing their promenade to their parents; and then danced with one of their parents. It was an enjoyable evening for all who attended. Theron and Cathy YEA!
