After years of planning the Wasatch Mountain Railway has announced winter runs of the Heber Creeper will begin Friday. According to Lowe Ashton, railroad president, the winter runs will enable tourists from Utah and all over the country to enjoy the winter scenery of Heber Valley. Mr. Ashton reports the winter scenery in the valley is even more beautiful than the summer scenery. The snow covered country side really adds to the atmosphere on the train," he said. Air Mall Park City Four Park City residents and one Salt Lake resident pleaded guilty to stealing skis from The Ski "Company before Justice of the Peace James Kilby Tuesday afternoon. Two other suspects will appear at a preliminary hearing Dec. 8 and are charged with third degree felonies for also stealing skis from The Ski Company. Park City residents Jeff Herran, Conrad B. Cluff, Michael Alan Vaughn and Keith Adamson Tuesday oleaded suiltv to the lesser charse of a class B misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine and placed on probation by Judge Kilby. Timothy Lee and George .West, both of Park City, did not plead guilty and will appear before Judge Kilby Dec. 8 in court at the Memorial Building at a preliminary hearing. Park City police arrested a total of ten people over a two-da- y period beginning Thanksgiving Eve in connection with the ski thefts. Chief Mike Crowley and Detective Rob Berry collected an estimated 51,560 worth of stolen skis; siz pairs, each valued at 5260. Seven adults and three juveniles were arrested. The juveniles have been referred to juvenile court, according to Judge Kilby. Those arrested were immediately placed in the Summit County jail in Coalville; all posted 51,500 bail and were released. The Ski Company owner Bob Burns called local police two weeks ago, and said he discovered skis missing. Mr. Burns added he thought the skis could have been taken by employees of his company, according to police.
