As a result of the proposed increase, the tax on a $50,000 residence will be $198.72, and the tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity will be $361.30. Without the proposed increase the tax on a $50,000 residence would be $190.47, and the tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity would be $346.30. The 1999 proposed tax rate is .007226. Without the proposed increase the rate would be .006926. This would be an increase of 4.3 which is $8.25 per year. ($.69 per month) on a $50,000 residence or $14.83 per year on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity.
