Before the meeting officially opened. Bill Morris thanked those responsible for nominating him for the "U.M.V.A. Volunteer of the Year Award." Although he wasn't chosen, all of us at the Tintic Mining Museum feel that he really deserves it. The calendar for 1999 meet- ings was set as: April 17, Annual Folk Food Potluck; May 12; June 9; July 14, Picnic in the Park; Aug. 21, Tintic Silver Festival; Sept. 8; Oct. 13; Nov. 10. All meetings will be the with the second Wednesday and of August. April exception The society, with help from the Eureka Preservation Commission, recently purchased two map cases. These were really needed, as all the maps in the collection were rolled, not an ideal way to store old maps. Public Notice Gordon W. Simons send a Kenneth A. Daniels Kenneth A.
