This year's Tmtic Silver Festival will include such events as a golf tournament for members of Tmtic Lodge BPOE 711; a TNT Mountain Men rendezvous (with shoots, a Dutch Oven Dessert Contest, and other contests to test your skills, plus concessions, and more); the Miss Tintic Pageant sions; a Dunking Booth; Boy Scout Flag Raising Ceremony and Breakfast; Ghost Town Tours; Baseball Game; a Teen Dance; a dance at the Silver Qub for adults; etc. (check the August 7th edition of the Eureka Re- - Bill Missionary homecoming Josh Grimstead, son of Gordon and Leigh Grimstead, is returning home to Eureka after serving a successful two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Josh served his mission in Washington, D.C. His flight will arrive at the Salt Lake City International Airport on Friday, August 21. Josh will be reporting on his mission during Sacrament Meeting on Sunday, August 23, 1998. Anyone who is interested may attend the meeting, which begins at 10:43 a.m. Josh is anxious to see all of his friends and return to the peace and quiet of our small town. His family has missed him a great deal and are happy to welcome him back home. The regular bowling season is about to begin. On Thursday, August 20th, to be precise! Members of the Alley Cats Thursday Morning Bowling League are reminded Comets in Nephi fea- turing Bill Haley's Comets on Thursday, August 1 3th at 8:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpo- se Building at the Fairgrounds. Preschool update Preschool will be offered at Eureka Elementary School beginning after Labor Day in September. Leigh Grimstead will be the teacher, with Eileen Schow and Jami Davis as aides in the classroom. The preschool is open to three and four-year-o- ld children. This year, because of the Goals 2000 Grant, there will be no charge for each child to attend. If you are interested in having your child participate in the preschool program, please contact Leigh Grimstead at the school (433-692or at home (433-6- 9 1 7). We need to get an idea of how many children will be involved..as soon as possible. The parents who contact the school, will receive more information about the pre7) school program in the future. Eurekas three churches..The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints; Eureka United Methodist Church and St Patrick's Catho- - - lie Giurch will hold regular services on Sunday. Some concessions may still be opemting, the museums will be open, and, if needed, additional Ghost Town Tours will he conducted. There will he something of interest for all ages!
