Mr. Haney received this award on January 13, 1998 at the Utah Science Teacher Mid Winter convention. Pictured with Mr. Haney is Dr. Richard Tolman, Chairman, BYU Zoology Department. Mr. Haney has touched the lives of every student who has attended Tintic High School for the many years that he has taught there. The county will receive a grant of $68,000 to overlay two miles of access improvement road at Yuba State Park. Mike Seely, county administrator, and Robert Garrett, county road superintendent, met with the Utah Department of Transportation. They met with the Joint Highway Committee. Seely said, folowing the presentation made by Garrett and himself, the project was approved for funding.
