Nov 8 7:30 p.m. To i Promised Valley Playhouse to produce Christmas play. Salt Lake company to produce The Gift of Christmas One of Salt Lake Citys newest theatre traditions continues. Utahs own Broadway star, Robert Peterson, will again be seen in the Promised Valley Playhouse holiday production, "The Gift of Christmas, " according to J. Murray Rawson, General Manager. "The Gift of Christmas" was conceived and is directed by Randy Boothe. Music is by Boothe and Michael McLean and presents a delightful performance of sights, sounds, songs, and stories of Christmas. Many of the scenes arc taken from Charles Dickens fabled "A Christmas Carol." and from "The Nutcrack-er,- " as well as ones from the stable in Bethlehem and in Santas workshop. Director Boothe promises a glowing array of colorful sets and costumes, and exciting, new choreography plus all the beauty and excitement of previous seasons. "The Gift of Christmas." which is now in its fifth year, has become a welcome holiday family tradition.
