A- EARN UP TO 489-642- John Curtis Phipps, 86, of Provo, Utah, passed by peacefully Tuesday, May 31, 1994, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah. He was born March 26, 1908 in Evanston, Wyo., a son of John William and Rosilla Barnes Phipps. He married Clara Evans June 17, 1929 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was solemnized October 22, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died May 28, 1966. He married Margaret E. Haywood December 8, 1973 in the Provo LDS Temple. He attended schools in Eureka. He was a miner in Eureka for twenty-fiv- e years. He raised his in family Spanish Fork. He also worked as a carpenter at Brigham Young University for 27 years. He enjoyed wood carving, camping, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid BYU football fan. He was an active High Priest of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints and was currently serving as an ordinance worker at the Provo Temple. Survivors include his wife of Provo; one son and three daughters, Blaine (Mary) Evans Phipps of Brigham City, Utah; Carol Otteson of Orem, Utah; Lois (Norman) Greenhalgh of Nephi, Utah; Linda (Douglas) Lowe of Spanish Fork; a daughter-in-laJoAnn Phipps of Orem, Utah; his Don and Diane Dixon of Provo, Utah; Margie Scott of St. George, Utah; Barbara and Manuel Rodriquez of Boreggo Springs, Calif.; Malcom and Virginia Scott of McCall,' 116 Idaho; 44 grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Helvcrn of Challenge, Calif.; and Arvila Miller of San Diego, Calif. w, Thomas Terry Clark, 51, Battle Mountain, Nevada, and former resident of Santaquin, Utah, died June 4, 1994 at a Nevada mine site as a result of an industrial accident. He was bom August 10, 1942, at Santaquin, Utah. He married Florence Perkins, February 21, 1964, at Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as a truck driver and miner. He served in the U.S. military. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his wife, Battle Mountain, one daughter and three sons: Deborah Ann Rich, Maitland, Florida; David G. (Pauline) Rich, Santaquin; Kenneth Lee (Beverly) Clark and Lance Steven Clark, both Winne-mucc- a, Nevada; and four grand- children. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 9, 1994, at Santaquin. Interment was in the Goshen City Cemetery with full military rites by the Santaquin American Legion Post No. 84. Springville, Utah 84663 Ronald "Pete" Milne, age 78, died May 28, 1994 at his residence in St. George, Utah from cancer. He was bom December 7, 1915 in Mammoth, Utah to George Jarvis and Ethel Emeline Lee Milne. Married Alda Stucki November 6, 1936 in Santa Clara, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died October 13, 1973. Married Vivian Potts Hamblin August 24, 1974 in Elko, Nevada. Mr. Milne at the age of 12, moved to St. George, Utah with his family. He was reared and educated in St. George and started his family. He later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked for Milne Truck Line for 25 years. After retirement, he moved back home and settled in Ivins, Utah where he has resided for the past 20 years. Pete was an active member of the LDS Church, and served as a General Conference Usher at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah for seven years. He served in the Genealogy Extraction Program at the Tabernacle in St. George for three years. He made friends wherever he went. He knew no strangers. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. for 45 years and loved to target shoot, play golf, explore the hills in Washington County and listen to music. Survivors: wife, Vivian Potts Hamblin Milne, Ivins, Utah; children: Ray John Milne and his wife (Sherry), Jerry Ronald Milne and his wife (Shirley), both Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Diane Earl and husband (Glenn), St. George, Utah; stepchildren: Mrs. Mack "Vicki" Petersen, Chino, California; Bill Dennis and his wife (Debbie), Stockton, Utah; Mrs. Ron "Sandra" Won-icJerome, Idaho; brother Lee Milne, Salt Lake City , Utah.
