Frilv meeting helped together several loose ends of future events planned by the society. It was decided to keep the meeting nights the same as in the past, with regular monthly meetings held on the second Wednesday of the month. April and August will be the exceptions. The annual Folk Food Potluck is scheduled for April 25 (a Saturday). The society doesnt hold a meeting in August because ol activities planned for the Tintic Silver Festival. In commemoration of the Centennial Celebration, a special attempt is being made to schedule a speaker for each meeting. Ideas were discussed by the board. Plans are going forth for the Historic Buildings Tour to be held on May 16. Letters have been sent to owners of the buildings., some replies have been received. There is a need for volunteers for this event. The society is asking for HELP. This being the first tour of this type, the plan is to start out small, with the hope of expanding in the future. More information will follow. Following the very productive business meeting, a video made from old 8mm film was shown to all. The footage was made in the early 40s by Pat Bradys father, and features many local people and places. The board thinks this would be a great feature for one of the meetings. During the Middle Ages, the year began at various Hates in different times and places. In England it was not until 1751 that January was restored to its place as first month, as it had been during the Roman era. They split the total purse of $22,000 between them. Following is a list of feeble excuses' as to why the others didnt win. Paul was driving a Toyota that would go only 43 miles an hour and was late in arriving at Sunbrook the first day and missed the first five holes and was, therefore, disqualified. Fred and Lila were continually bickering about the number and size of shelves Fred was building in their basement and couldnt concentrate on their game. Besides that, I think Lila was sticking her posterior out too far which also effected her game. Keith was upset because Mickmade a birdie and he couldnt ey top it. This in turn, upset Mickey and she shot seven consecutive shots into the ditch on the next hole. Eileen got tired because she had to shoot Rays long shots as well as her own. After trying on 461 pairs, he had a headache that effected his game. The fact that he stands on the wrong side of the ball didnt help matters either. Traci was doing great until she did five hours of Boogaloo in the casino on Friday night. She was still Boogaloooing around the course on Saturday, but it didnt seem to help her game.
