Show Page Four - The Eureka Reporter - July LOOKING 17, 1987 '1 FORWARD by Warren Ottley I started out my life of entrepreneurial pursuits in the paint business. . .purveying gallons, quarts and pints of protective coatings to homeowners and apartment house dwellers who were trying to maintain their properties. This occupation came about at age 15 when I started working in my fathers store. By the time I was drafted into Uncle Sams service for WarldWar II, I had resolved I would never follow the paint business for a lifetime of work. But after 5 years of military service, I found there was intense competition for jobs and few employers were vying to offer the conquering hero a top executive job with a fat salary. So, I went into the paint, wallpaper and glass business for myself. . .and came to love it. Postwar decorating became much more specialized with emphasis on flashy color colors, so we became counselors rather than just paint sales people. The highlight of my career, I guess, was the day a very serious young lady phoned and asked, What color should I paint my top when my bottom is blue? It turned out she was talking about her bathroom. Frequently, we received calls asking that we come and take my measurements. 8 attended a cheerleading The Tintic High School cheerleaders of in Utah State held Utah at They were Logan, University July camp ribbons excellent and awarded outstanding during evaluations, and a for one night they held a spirit U.S.U. staff. The National Sporting goods and Retailers Association said grew 28 percent last year. According to an Association spokesman, there were 53 million exercise walkers, compared to 23 million joggers.
