Four Eurekans, Curtis and OBITUARIES Isabella D. Davis Isabella Kennedy Dewar Davis, age 80, passed away Feb. 26, 1983. Born Jan. 13, 1903 in Eureka, Utah to William Christian Dewar and Myra Lucy Snodgrass Dewar. She married James Davis in 1929 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death in April, 1967. She had resided in the family home in South Salt Lake for 52 years. She was an accountant for many years at Model Laundry, Christiansen Brothers Construction Co., and retired in 1971 from the City of So. Salt Lake after 18 years of service as City Accountant. She devoted her life to community and church service, serving as teacher, Jr. Sunday School Coordinator, Society Secretary in the Burton and Southgate LDS Wards, and for 12 years was a secretary for the South Salt Lake Stake Sunday School Board. Survivors are a son, James Wiley Davis, his wife, Susan, and five grandchildren, all of South Salt Lake; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dewar Caudell, Salt Lake City. ,9 : S . "k. y ?. " Funeral services t S' native of Silver City, Utah, Vera Lorine Dodge, 79, died Saturday, February 19, 1983 at Pine Crest Convalescent Home in Maywood, California. Vera was born in Silver City on January 6, 1904. She resided in Maywood for 40 years and was a member of Bell Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. She is survived by her nephew, Lyman Davis, of Los Angeles; nieces, Frances Sellers of Maywood, A - nesday, Southgate LDS Ward. ternment was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. In his talk he spoke about Tintic chapter and the Greenriver chapter, saying that they are the only two remaining chapters who still have their meeting places located over local businesses, which makes the two groups rather unique. Saturday morning, the Butlers and Bradys toured Dead Horse Point State Park and Arches National Park. That evening they attended the Grand Visitation to Valiant Chapter No. 21 in Moab. Before starting home on Sunday, the group traveled up the Colorado River and toured Castle Valley. All agreed it was a very nice weekend, Carl Knotts celebrated his thday on Sunday with a fun day at Wendover. Joining in the celebration were his parents, Glen and Lucille Knotts, and friends, Naomi Cushing and Alliene Farren.
