Show The Eureka Reporter Page Four April 9, 1982 Annabelle Kite Gardner Students write Two stories show off talent Principal Hudson's class has been involved in a writing project. The purpose is to increase writing ability, thinking abilities, and to increase the amount of writing done by each student. A writing contest was held in the class and the winning papers will be published in the Eureka Reporter over the next several weeks. Following are written stories the by Melanie Sc how, a first place winner, and Kerry McNulty, a second place winner: Michelle. The figure had empty eye sockets where her eyes should have been. She gave Michelle a ghostly smile. Michelle screamedand the figure disappeared. Christopher ran out of his room and asked her what had happened. She told him about the ghostly figure walking through the hall. Christopher said, "She must be looking for her jewels. I have a plan." He told her his plan and she agreed that it was a good one. The next day they went to the jewelers and bought a big basket of fake jewels. That night they set it in the hall on a table. They watched from Michelles room. They non-gravi- Reach.
