Forest Service officials are proposing replacement of the boardwalk and associated lootings at Cascade Springs Interpretive Site. The concrete lootings for the Cascade Springs Interpretive Site boardwalk were installed in the early 1960s. They are beginning to show sings of deterioration and the primary purpose fir this project is to replace them. In order to access the footings for replacement, the boardwalk must be removed. Once the footings are replaced, a new boardwalk would be installed. The work would be completed by a contractor under Forest Service supervision. Work would include removing the existing boardwalk to provide access to the footings and replacing the existing con crete and natural stone ings in about the same footloca- tions.
