The paint is being donated by Sherwin Williams and the materials by Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse. The expertise and direction will be provided by Utah States Col- - .Afk 8-1- dents who intern in a painting program while learning business skills. Others involved in the paint-a-thon will be College of Family Life faculty and student ambassadors and digni- taries from Davis County and Utah State. The Utah House mission is to demonstrate and educate the public about new ways of building homes and creating landscapes that promote water conservation, energy efficiency, universal design principles and healthy indoor environments. Workshops, educational programs and tours will be offered at the Utah House. The house is located at the Utah State University Botanical Gardens on the east side of Highway 15 in Kaysville. The team competed at Saltair Championships, Wyoming Open and new this year, Lag(xn Nationals Showcase Spectacular, They took first at the championship competitions and Grand Championship team at Lagoon Showcase Spectacular. Judges commented on the skill level of the dancers, showmanship, and costumes. teams competed in were Saltair Dance Championships, Lyman, Wyoming and Western Nationals held at Lagoon. Western Nationals includes competitors from all the western states. This year over 10,000 competitors competed. OpeningtheSalurday night Spectacular Award Ceremony were the doggers from the Olympic Opening Ceremony and the Children of Light. Among the presenters of the awards was Mrs. United Nations. Amanda Austin won a place among the few selected on the Western Nationals Rookie Team, while Tressa Gilbert and Sheratin Hamblin placed on the Western Nationals CloggingTcum. Duringlhe competition season, the six teams together have taken home a total of 24 first places, two second places, and one third place. For the second year in a row, Cloggure Express Advanced Team took Over-A- ll Grand Championship Team, this year competing in the Advanced division at Nationals. Stephanie Taylor and Amanda Austin also took two of the five places on the Freestyle Team.
