Show SAT TEST RESULTS PERCENTILE RANK: The SAT scores reported here are 'percentile rank: scores. Percentile scores range from 1 to 99 and show the percentage of students In the nationwide norming group who scored below a given student's score. For example, if a student had a percentile rank score of 72. this means that 71 percent of the students in the nationwide norming group had lower scores than this student while 27 percent scored higher. Research conducted for nearly two decades by the U.S. Department of Education and the National Assessment of Educational Progress documents that there is a strong statistical relationship between factors and test performance. This fall marks the second year that Utah students will take the 9th Edition of Stanford. From 1990 through 1996, students were administered the 8th Edition of the Stanford Achievement Test. The 9th Edition of Stanford is substantially different in format and content from the 8th Edition. In addition, the norms for the 8th Edition of the Stanford Achievement Test are no longer an accurate representation of national performance. Because of these differences, it is inappropriate to attempt to compare performance on the two tests. If citizens are interested in the individual school scores, they can contact the respective principal or the District Office. Please remember that an achievement test Is only one measure of school performance. These should not be ured in isolation and should be used in conjunction with everything else we know about school performance. These tests are designed to have an avenge score of 5a socio-econom- ic CRITERION REFERENCED TEST RESULTS Criterion Referenced Tests (CRTs) are tests Implemented statewide to measure the mastery of Utah's core curriculum. CRTs are mandated by the State Legislature and the CRTs test concepts each student should master In areas of Math, Reading, English and Science. The scores help the State Office of Education to evaluate the mastery of core objectives. Results show the .percentage of correct answers on the exam. Duchesne 8chool District Criterion Referenced Tests By Grade Level and Subject ELEMENTARY MATH YEAR 97 98 99 00 01 Fifth Grade Tests ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTING No advanced placement tests are given In Duchesne School district. Advanced students In area high schools may take college or vocational classes during their regular school day as concurrent enrollment. Students are enabled to complete one year or more of college before high school graduation thus saving one years tuition, housing and fees.
