She began servinginJulyof 1999 and completed her two-yterm last month. Sharon said, It has been joy to serve, and I have really enjoyed my association with each of you." The Regional Council is an advieorypolicy board that oversees the activities of the Department of Workforce Services. Irene Hansen will become the new Chair. In other business, the Council reviewed, then approved four projects for federal TANF (Temporary Aiii-tanc- e for Needy Families ) funds: 1) Educational program for pregnant women proposed by Joseph Shaffer, Executive Director of Health. Also includes education programs for teenagers. Cost of the program is $94,000. ar Tri-Coun- ty 2) Transportation program that would provide vans with regular routes to transport individuals and families from outlying areas to offices and employment sites in Roosevelt or V ernal. Purposes would be for employment interviews, medical or dental needs, andor appointments withhuman service providers. The program waa proposed by the Uintah Basin AaaociationofGovern-ment- a at a cost of $515,000. . 3) Busing service for the Uintah Basin Applied Technology Center that would provide a shuttle bus for stu- dents and would run between Roosevelt and Vernal three-fou- r times per day. 4) Educational assistance for eligible students who are attending URATC. The assistance could total upto $2000 r year ifa student ia making satis-- r progress. Cost of the program StafTfromtheUintah REGIONALCOUNCIL MEETING 1,000. Trina is a 1 998 graduate of Tabiona High and also a 999 graduate of Bon Losee Academy of hair artistry. She is the granddaughter of T om and Flora Fabrizio and the late Ray and Erma Thomas. Kyle is a 1998 graduate of Altamont High School, and is currently employed with Korey Farnsworth Construction. He is the grandson of Junior and Norita Tidwell and Lewis and Veloy Farnsworth. In the month ofJuly travelers reached their goal of traveling from Roosevelt to Washington D.C. Congratulates to all of the participants! Another challenge has been issued by the library staff and bookmobile staff. They have challenged participants to read enough to travel through all 48 adjacent states by August 25. If participants reach this goal the library stafTand bookmobile staff will throw a party complete with games, prizes, and special awards. Do you think we can do it? As of July 31 travelers have made it through 36 of the 48 adjacent states and have read a total of 1757 hours. Only 12more states to go we will have a part. Good luck kids! The third episode, Remembrance of the Duleks, finds the Doctor and Ace in London, where they discover that two rival factions of the darktivilizationareseekingtheHand of Omega, a powerful Time Lord device hidden by the First Doctor in an earlier trip to Earth. Davros returns victoriously, gainingcontrol over the Hand. An unexpected plan laid by the Time Lord, however, surprises the Dalek leader. Condudingthe marathon, Planet of the Daleks unfolds on the planet Spiridon, where the Doctor has fallen into a coma. Aided by Jo and a breakaway faction of the Daleks, the Doctor is revived and learns of an army of Daleks that has been frozen in suspended animation directly below their base.
