In 1969, Helen moved to Provo, Utah and lived there until 1995 when she moved to Orem, Utah. She is survived by her aix children: Ralph iGerri), Orem; Jon (Sally), Midvale; Carl (Margaret), Spanish Fork; Paul (Mirriatn), Cedar City; Ann (Peter Ellis), Ogden; Don (Rebecca), Blanding; 36 grandchilone dren, 21 sister, Melba Allred (Charles); 4 brothers, Neidon; Earl (Alton); Paul (Geri); Glade (Arlene) and a sister-in-laNorma Calder; along with maiy r other cherished relatives. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her brother Llqyd, and baby sister Neva, and Elizabeth Rae Beane. Funeral services wren held on Monday, Sept. 25 at 12 Noon at the Sunset Heights 7th Ward Chapel, 400 West 1200 South, Orem. Tampa FL to August us Clayton and Kathie Mae Singletary Abed. He married Virginia Rodarte. June 22, 1967, in Delta. CO. Wayne was a member of the St. Helen's Catholic Church. He worked as a police officer for two years in Killeen, TX and on the oil field in Utah until he became disabled. He served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion where he served as Poet Commander . he loved fishing, hunting and traveling. He will be greatly missed by his family. Ray and Dixie Jones traveled to Salt Lake over the weekend where they attended the Utah State Fair. A baby shower was given on Saturday at the home of Ginger Casper for the baby boy of Rusty and Sherral Casper. A large crowd attended and many nice gifts were received. Games were playMl and lunch was served. Mr. & Mrs. Max Fabrizio went to Nashville TN to a telephone meet ing Saturday and returned Wednesday. Bill Chapman has been in the VA Hospital for a week receiving treatment for a heart condition. He returned home Tuesday. Florence and Gay Turnbow drove to Salt Lake Wednesday where they attended the wedding of Chalese KimbaU. daughter of Dr. k Mrs. Doyle Turnbow. They were married Sept. 14 at the Kimball cabin in Solitude. N asario Jerry'' Martinez, age 61, of Fort Duchesne, Utah passed away Tuesday. Sept. 19. 2000 after a long illness at the Stewart's Care and Rehabilitation C enter in Roosevelt, UT with his wife and children by his side. Jerry was born March 8, 1939 in Ignacio. CO. to Andres and Virginia Chavez Martinez, he married and his later divorced and present wife Nancy Nick on Feb. 9, 1976 who he remained with for the past 24 years until his demise. Heeiyoyed the outdoors, all sports, hunting, fishing, horse shoes, travels and meeting to various ing new people. He attended Ignacio Indian Boarding' Public school, as a day student where he was active in various sporting activities. Later he joined the Armed Services were he started his long military career He served in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. State side at Fret Riley, KS. in the Vietnam, and Korean Conflict as a sharpshooter, and State side at Colorado Springs CO. Medals he received during his Military career are the good Conduct, Good Conduct with Cluster Leaves, Vietnam Service with Cluster Leaves and Rifleman Sharpshooter medals. Jerry worked in Bonanza, Colorado arid finally, for the Ute Indian Tribe Maintenance Department for 17 years before being disabled by a stroke in 1994. He resided at his home in Fort Duchesne (Sunshine Acres) until he entered the Stewart's Care and Rehabilitation Center in Roosevelt Utah in 1995. During his time with the Ute Indian Tribe Jerry continued to serve our country and the Ute Indian Tribe by carrying the United States flag during U te Tribal festivities and ceremonies. he played a nuyor role in establishing the VFW Post 4519 at Fort Duchesne, Utah. He learned to hunt and fish from his father, and in turn he passed these traditions down to his children. He was a good and loving husband and father. His children were his ' and joy. But, Dons love for chil went far beyond his own family to include all children. He elieved all children deserved a little happiness and love.
