Coming up in September will be some fun classes, the ever popular Chinese Cooking classes will continue at the USU Ext. office in the CityCounty Bldg in Venial. Lola Barney originally from Taiwan will be teaching a beginning class starting Sept. 7 and an advanced class suiting Sept 13 with all new recipes. Lola will also be teaching a new on Chinese class at Culture starting Sept 8 which will cover Chinese music, art, language and cuisine as well as customs. Other classes this month will include a Spinning Workshop Sept 8, taught by Lis Moncrief teaching the complete process of spinning from the raw fleece to carding to using a drop spindles or spinning wheels. Lit is an accomplished weaver also and as a followup to this spinning dess, there will be a Weaving class, Oct. 6 using theyam spun by parti cipanU and a Natural ' Dyes class, Oct 2 on dying the wool. If youve always wanted to get involved in spinning or weaving, dost miss this opportunity. An Oil Painting Workshop will be taught by Jan Herbert Sept 7 at listen to lots of good ideas from professional gardener Heather Campbell of Split Mountain Nursery in Jensen.
